Every day is Christmas – 4/5

Posted on

Another five days of treats. It’s good to have these little beauties to blog about, otherwise I’m pretty sure the silly season would have got to me and I would have totally abandoned my blog!

Day 16 – gorgeous handmade gift tags (they will be saved for VERY special gifts!); day 17 – assorted vintage scarves (I especially love the red and blue one which has subsequently been added to an opshop straw hat); day 18 – Lindt chocolate – not pictured for obvious reasons; day 19 – very cute Typo pencil sharpener ; day 20 – mini bunting made with washi tape – what a great idea.

What I gave: some more vintage linen – a sheet and a tea towel, an old-fashioned cookbook, some more vintage cutlery and a little handmade embroidery. I got the idea from some of the images on Zara’s pinterest page so I really hope she likes it!

I left it in a ‘raw’ state so Zara could use it how she saw fit. It will be interesting to see what she does with it as she’s so clever!

It’s been nice this week to start feeling a bit Christmassy, getting dressed up and spending time colouring and reading with sick kids at the hospital.

And getting dressed up and having fun with my girlfriends.

A few of my favourite things…

I’ve spent some time this week getting ready for the advent swap. How exciting!

And pop over here and check out my A Suitable Boy review for 1001 Books.

I love to read. I think it’s actually vital for my mental health to have a book on the go. My sister (who blogs here) introduced me to this fantastic blog: 1001bookreviews.com

The folks here are aiming to compile reviews of all the books on the 1001 Books to Read Before You Die list. Great project. So I got involved.

You can read my review of The Life of Pi by Yann Martel here and maybe you might get excited and want to submit a book review too.
